A. Kazickas Grant Program continues to support Lithuanian Education

Year 2020 marks 100th jubilee of Alexandra Kazickas birth. To honor her legacy, the Kazickas family is continuing to support the work of Lithuanian Heritage Schools in the US during the school year 2020-2021. Alexandra Kazickas was deeply committed to the preservation of a Lithuanian identity for young people growing up in the US.
On this special occasion, Lithuanian schools and communities are invited to enjoy the video telling the story of A. Kazickas life and start discussions with the students on immigration, family and personal values, war effect, women's role in society, what it means to be Lithuanian, and other topics.
Program was established in 2012 to support Lithuanian Heritage Schools in US which provide students with multiple ways of learning through educational and enrichment experiences and opportunities.
Since 2012 A. Kazickas Grant Program donated over $900,000 to the Lithuanian Heritage Schools in the US, invested in developing the Lithuanian language assessment system for schools' students and paved ways connecting them with Lithuania.
With the program KFF seeks to support and encourage teachers' productive work, participation at the continuous education conferences, sharing of knowledge and experiences with hopes that Lithuanian education will make a consequential impact on students', as well as Lithuania's future.
Applications are accepted till November 1, 2020.
