The Kazickas Family Foundation has contributed $1,000,000 to the Joseph P. Kazickas Fund for Lithuanian and Baltic Studies, an endowed fund at Yale which supports the activities of the Baltic Studies Program. The program operates under the auspices of the European Studies Council at Yale’s MacMillan Center for International and Area Studies. Yale’s Baltic Studies Program brings to campus speakers on Baltic-related issues, hosts scholars from the Baltic region to conduct research at Yale, and strengthens Baltic studies networks by participating in national and international Baltic studies conferences. Beginning in 2014, a post-doctoral scholar from Lithuania will work at Yale each year as a Joseph P. Kazickas Post-Doctoral Fellow.
Dr. Bradley Woodworth continues to anchor these efforts as Coordinator of the Baltic Studies Program. In addition to his work as a member of the History faculty at the University of New Haven, he also holds an appointment at Yale as Associate Research Scholar.
