KFF Grantee ALEXANDRA KAZICKAS LITHUANIAN SCHOOL'S (AKLS) STUDENTS FLEW KITES OF GRATITUDE IN REMEMBRANCE OF ITS FOUNDERS ON THE FIRST DAY OF THE 10TH SCHOOL YEAR.
"I am thankful for being able to learn Lithuanian language and history", "Thank you to the Kazickas and teachers", "We love you, thank you for everything!",
"Thank you for the school", "All the best", "Let's have a good 10th year", "Thank you", "Everyone for Lithuania", "I love Lithuania very much"... On the Panquogue beach on the Atlantic Ocean, where on summer Sundays, Lithuanians play beach volley ball, AKLS's family came to remember its founders Alexandra Kazickas (1920-2011) and Dr. Joseph P. Kazickas (1918-2014). Never underestimate the power of those who look at us and love us from up above, - after a week of heavy rain and a week-end of forecasted clouds and showers, the blue sky on Sunday accepted our gratitude written on 30 kites.
Happy School Year 2015-2016 to Lithuanian Heritage schools around the world and to all the schools in Lithuania!!!
