June 8th, annual ASSIST fellow alumni and friends gathered at the beautiful and historic Colony Club in New York City to make new friendships, renew old ones and to learn about the State of ASSIST. To date, 4,820 students from 51 countries have become ASSIST Scholars. They have returned to their homes to become leaders in their own countries, appreciative of their experience, and holding a deep understanding of American values and culture.
Thanks to ASSIST, 175 students from 20 countries will attend 88 member schools in the US in 2016-2017 school year. Lithuanian delegation of seven scholars are following in the footsteps of over 124 alumni who represented Lithuania with distinction. The Kazickas Family Foundation sponsored three Lithuanian scholars, while two additional students will receive special funding from the US Embassy.
