ASSIST (American Secondary Schools for International Students and Teachers) and the Kazickas Family Foundation announce application process for ASSIST 2022-2023 Scholarship candidates.
ASSIST Lithuania was established to help young Lithuanian students currently in the 10th grade who would like to spend one year as exchange students in the United States as 11th graders.
ASSIST work in the Baltics began in Lithuania in the 1992/93 academic year. First Lithuanian scholars distinguished themselves in their American independent schools, and ultimately 159 Lithuanian students have studied in the States under ASSIST auspices. It is through the generosity of the Kazickas Family Foundation that this competition is made possible.
ASSIST 2022-2023 scholarship is a unique opportunity to spend a productive, challenging and eye-opening school year away from home. American Independent Schools, also called “private” or “prep” schools, are a group of America’s finest and most rigorous high schools. They provide:
- Small, seminar-style classrooms, usually under 15 students.
- Outstanding, well-educated faculty devoted to the growth of each student.
- Strong extracurricular programs in music, the fine and performing arts, sports, debate, community service – and more.
- State-of-the art facilities and beautiful campuses.
True financial cost for a year at such school exceeds above and beyond a fee students' families need to pay.

Financial Support for Lithuanian Scholars
American schools are generous in offering scholarships to ASSIST students. Throughout our time in Lithuania, ASSIST has identified sponsors to help students and their families pay for the cost of participating in the program. In addition to the Kazickas Family, Lithuanian alumni and American donors support deserving Scholars.
