KFF Vilnius bureau Executive Director Zenonas Bedalis hosted an orientation seminar for the ASSIST Lithuania scholars in the Kazickas Family Residence, Vilnius, Lithuania. ASSIST 2014 alumni joined in sharing their experiences and giving advice.
Six academically best 10th grade students from Lithuania were selected in a competition to spend one year in the US as exchange students. ASSIST awarded an additional scholarship while Davis Family Foundation offerred two scholarships for three academic years in a top US independent school. Nine Lithuanian high school students will spend 2014-2015 school year in the US independent schools where they will have a life changing experience and participate in a very rigorous academic program. Rima Vydmantas, Public Affairs Officer at the US Embassy in Vilnius was present at the meeting.
