On June 14th Kazickas family invited ASSIST program's current students to the Kazickas family residence for the annual farewell get together. It has become a tradition to meet and greet new students and catch up with the ones who already had a chance to spend a year at the American private boarding schools either recently or many years ago.
One of the ASSIST alumni, Head of European Commission Representation in Lithuania, Arnoldas Pranckevicius, shared his experience with 8 young Lithuanian students and said that such year spent in the US, was a critical year in his life.
Public Affairs Officer at the U.S. Embassy in Vilnius Heather Steil wished students an amazing year in the US. Thank you all at the U.S. Embassy for being a huge ASSIST supporter!
All the best to students and looking forward to see what experiences you will bring back in 2019 to Lithuania to share with everyone!
Since the 1992-1993 school year ASSIST, a program by an independent association, has been operating in Lithuania providing scholarships for Lithuania's secondary school students for their 11th grade studies in the United States. In 2003, the Kazickas Family Foundation signed an agreement with ASSIST supporting its efforts to provide life-changing opportunities for outstanding international scholars to attend and contribute to the finest American independent secondary schools to promote mutual understanding, cultural interchange, and global citizenship.
