In the Lithuanian tradition, the Kazickas Family and A.Kazickas Lithuanian School (Aquabogue, NY) members gathered to celebrate lives of Dr. Joseph and Mrs. Alexandra Kazickas and their son Alexander, in the Most Holy Trinity Cemetery (East Hampton, NY), on All Saints Day.
In Lithuania, the annual solemn celebration is associated with All Saints Day (November 1), when the rituals begin. All Soals Day (November 2) is a day of prayer for the dead, when Lithuanians visit the graves of their deceased relatives and ancestors. They light candles in their honor, also remembering the forgotten by placing candles on uncared for graves.
During the celebration the Kazickas Family members addressed the School children remembering their loved ones.
After the celebration, the Kazickas Family members spent time with the children at the CMEE.
