US Lithuanian Community Educational Council and members of the Boston Lithuanian Heritage School organized a seminar “From theory to practice” for professional education for teachers. Neila Baumiliene, the KFF NY Director, along with Elena Naujikiene and Snieguole Furajeviene, both of the KFF presented AKGP 2013 Grant Award checks to the directors of three of the participating schools.
They spoke about the KFF, AKGP and AKLS. The director expressed foundation’s willingness to challenge Heritage schools in their fundraising efforts and spoke about a “Matching gift” possibility. Snieguole Furajeviene presented “e-portal for Heritage schools ” project, a new initiative sponsored by the KFF. Participants were invited to join the KFF in the effort to make the work of the Heritage schools more effective by helping create an information and communication e-center for LT Heritage Schools.
