"Basketball Power" Awareness Event in New York

The Kazickas Family Foundation is hosting a Lithuanian Day event in New York to introduce diaspora to foundation's Basketball Power program in Lithuania. This awareness event is a closed event and will be held on April 8th at the NBPA (National Basketball Players Association) facilities in NYC.
- Peter Kazickas ("Basketball Power" initiator) with his cousins and Arminas Vareika ("Basketball Power" manager in Lithuania) will share true stories how basketball, hand in hand with life skills program, positively affect even the most vulnerable children's lives.
- Marty Conlon, former NBA player and international Sports Diplomacy Envoy, will conduct basketball clinics for children and adults.
- Current NBA players J. Valanciunas (Toronto "Raptors") and M. Kuzminskas (New York "Knicks") will meet with the diaspora and share their experiences and commitment to children of Lithuania.
- V. Kudirka Lithuanian School's team together with Peter Kazickas' team will engage children in robotics workshop.
- Guest of Honor: Lithuanian Consul General of Lithuania in New York J. Pranevicius
Fun Games, "Raffle", Open Court, refreshments and more are planned for the participants who will learn how they can contribute to the program.
