One of the most essential priorities for the Kazickas Family Foundation is bridging the gap between the diaspora youth and Lithuania. Helping the young people get to know their roots and the people living here has opened many opportunities for them to participate in initiatives together and improve their understanding of Lithuania.
“Participating in the Bring Together Lithuania Program in the summer of 2021 was an enriching trifecta of professional, networking, and cultural experiences, making it a transformative chapter in my life. I was able to rekindle appreciation for my Lithuanian roots and to have a better understanding of my role in the world Lithuanian youth community and future role in Lithuania.
The Bring Together Lithuania Program was able to offer me an impressive array of professional opportunities to gain international work experience based on my interests. My internship with The Innovation Agency of Lithuania under the Ministry of Economy, specifically within the Defense Sector, provided me unparalleled experience from a marketing, international trade, and data analytics perspective. Immersed in the agency's efforts to drive innovation at all stages of business development, I gained invaluable insights into the geopolitical landscape of Lithuania and Eastern Europe. The exposure to Lithuanian exports added a practical dimension to my understanding of the nation's economic dynamics. I was surprised about Lithuania's innovative economic landscape and the unique domestic products and services that Lithuania exports to other regions. This professional experience helps me envision myself one day growing my career in Lithuania because it is truly a country that is becoming a leader in the global economy.
The networking opportunities presented during the program were truly exceptional. Engaging with political leaders, including President Gitanas Nausėda, and discussing economic topics with the Mayor of Vilnius and economic representatives from Klaipeda, broadened my understanding of Lithuania's strategic vision. Having these conversations was truly amazing as it is not every day one has the opportunity to discuss real geo-political and economic questions with leaders of a nation and city. I obtained a similar experience within our interactions in the public sector. The leaders of the program were eager to introduce us to innovative business leaders in Lithuania across a diverse array of sector from healthcare to transportation. Interacting with private sector leaders, particularly those from Elinta and Vienaragiai LT, not only expanded my professional connections, but also provided insights into the thriving sectors of electric car manufacturing and startups in Lithuania. These experiences reinforced my belief in the abundance of career opportunities in the modern Lithuanian business landscape.
The cultural aspect of the program was equally unforgettable, offering an impressive variety of excursions through Vilnius, Klaipeda, and a rediscovery of my hometown, Kaunas. Exploring world-renowned museums such as the Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania and Trakai Castle deepened my appreciation for Lithuania's rich cultural heritage. And I cannot forget to mention one of my personal favorites: the hot air balloon ride over Vilnius, Vingis Park and rural Lithuania. This cultural immersion strengthened my connection to my Lithuanian roots, fostering a profound appreciation for the country's history, culture, and people.

Participating in Bring Together Lithuania sparked a newfound commitment to my Lithuanian identity and community. After this program I became more active in various Lithuanian communities and causes. This past summer, I was elected as the treasurer of the World Lithuanian Youth Association during the World Lithuanian Youth Congress. I am now motivated to contribute actively to strengthening Lithuanian roots globally. This program has inspired me to continue my efforts in promoting the unique opportunities available in Lithuania to youth, encouraging Lithuanians around the world to reconnect with their heritage. My involvement in the US Lithuanian Youth Association and the Philadelphia Lithuanian Community Board reflects my dedication to fostering youth initiatives and community engagement. It is extremely important for Lithuanian youth living abroad to have these opportunities in Lithuania, which has broadened my understanding of international economics, relations, and has given me a head start in my career.
In conclusion, Bring Together Lithuania has ignited a passion within me that transcends borders. The program's impact has motivated me to be an active part of the US and world Lithuanian communities, inspiring others to do the same. I am deeply grateful for this transformative experience and eagerly anticipate the growth of the program, contributing to Lithuania's shining presence in the Baltics and Europe.”
