Camp Neringa 2021 Summer Season for families and children was a success! Despite the ongoing pandemic camp staff were able to safely provide so much joy, freedom, healthy activities, learning and growth at our beloved camp Neringa. Every camper had the opportunity to come for one week and it sounded like every camper wanted to stay longer!
Camp schedule had to be modified to keep everyone safe this summer. Two and even three week program had to be packed in just one week. However, less time at Neringa doesn't mean the quality of time was affected. Every valuable minute at Neringa was carefully thought through so that boys and girls could go home with loads of wonderful memories made. In fact, the friendships made at Neringa continue growing outside of Vermont throughout the entire year. "We hope the schedule will be back to normal next year and hope to see everyone back again," share camp directors Dana Vainauskiene and Dana Grajauskas already planning their work for next summer already.
The Kazickas Family Foundation is a proud supporter of one of the most unique places to be found - camp Neringa. Hidden in the woods of Vermont, so much resembling a place somewhere in Lithuania, you find cozy cabins, dedicated staff, laughing campers and fun activities from early morning till late at night.
Neringa is a Lithuanian cultural camp founded by the Sisters of the Immaculate Conception in 1969. For over 50 years Neringa has served thousands of children and families in various camp sessions with the mission to foster understanding and love for Lithuanian heritage, teach Christian values and provide for positive character development.
Every summer children and families have opportunity to spend time together, get in touch with their Lithuanian roots, share experiences and expand their circle of friends during different summer weeks. "Neringa" offers separate time for Lithuanian and English speaking children, families with younger children have opportunity to spend time together as well, youth have a separate week to bond and share, and adults can spend 8 "Art Days" at the end of the summer.
