This year Camp Neringa celebrates 50! Over 25,000 Lithuanian heritage children had a chance to experience summer fun in Vermont and have built friendships for life thanks to the Sisters of the Immaculate Conception who arrived to the US from Lithuania in 1936 and among many other missions, established summer camp for children.
As we celebrate Neringa's anniversary, new chapter in its history is starting. The Sisters are passing the torch to the Camp Neringa, Inc. which will continue running the camp based on the values established half a century ago.
All are invited to the Lithuanian Summer Festival in Putnam, CT Sunday, July 21 where you can enjoy Lithuanian food, buy Lithuanian crafts, enjoy spectacular performance of Neringa campers, catch up with your old friends and make new friendships, as well as learn how to contribute and become a part of the campaign to ensure the future of Neringa so the legacy of the Sisters continues!
While celebrating Neringa’s long and rich history, we hope for at least 50 more! Neringa’s treasure is its people, young and old. It’s up to each of us to continue Neringa’s mission and reach the 100th Birthday! https://www.neringa100.org/
The Kazickas Family Foundation has been a proud Neringa supporter for many years as it shares many values and goals.
