Dr. Joseph P. Kazickas 100th jubilee exhibition continues its travel and this time it will settle in Taurage for few weeks. On May 23rd the Kazickas Family Foundation in partnership with Taurage Region Museum "Santaka", Birute Baltrusaityte Public Library and Taurage Cultural Center is inviting all to a day of events in honor of dr. J. Kazickas.
Dr. Joseph Peter Kazickas (1918-2014) – philanthropist, patriot, entrepreneur, dedicated father, intellectual, world traveler, writer, orator, historian who cared for Lithuania, its Freedom, its People his entire life and lead his life by the motto: "Life only has meaning when one is sharing good fortune with others and contributing to a better life for everyone!"
Based on the Kazickas Family's philanthropy motivated by the wish to create a better world for both current and future generations of Lithuanians, Taurage Public library and Museum "Santaka" came up with an idea to invite local families and guests to spend an afternoon together. "Family Day with Nomeda" is a wonderful opportunity to spend a quality time with your loved ones. Library is inviting all moms and dads to register themselves together with their sons and daughters to the "Pottery Making" workshop where they will discuss the importance of love and family while decorating porcelain cups.
At 5 pm everyone is invited to a unique play based on Alexandra and Joseph Kazickas book THE JOURNEY NEVER ENDS, presented by the Pasvalys Cultural Center Youth Theater "Drama" and P. Vileisis High School Theater at the Taurage Cultural Center. Entrance free of charge.
After the play, at 6 pm, guests are invited to Taurage Regional Museum "Santaka" where Kazickas Family Foundation will introduce the exhibit "Dr. Joseph Peter Kazickas Life Story". Vidmantas Valiusaitis will share his insights on "Joseph Kazickas and Lithuania's Freedom Case." Lecturer, currently managing Adolfas Damusis Democracy Center at the National M. Mazvydas Library, will cover main dr. J. P. Kazickas life aspects and discuss his dedication to Lithuania.
Exhibition will be open at "Santaka" museum in Taurage till June 13th.
