Emma Maxwell, a Youth Ambassador from the US through ExCEL Abroad program, supported by KFF, shares her latest experience in beautiful Lithuanian words. Emma, among many other activities, has been studying Lithuanian for the last six months and we couldn't be any prouder of you, Emma!
"Dieną prieš pavasario pradžią snigo, todėl šventėme Lygiadienį ir Verbų sekmadienį su sniegu," Emma writes in beautiful, perfectly correct Lithuanian with quite challenging words even for a Lithuanian. She translates it into English: "The day before the start of spring it snowed, so we celebrated the Spring Equinox and Palm Sunday with snow."
Emma has been volunteering with KFF's social responsibility program in Lithuania "the Power of Basketball" and truly enjoying it. She teaches some program's children English and they teach her Lithuanian. "Being here with ExCEL Abroad and working with "Krepšinio Galia" (the Power of Basketball) has been an amazing experience. I am so grateful to have this opportunity. Labai ačiū jums! (Thank you so much)," shares Emma.
AČIŪ Emma!
