PLEASE NOTE TIME CHANGE FOR JUNE 17th CONCERT - NEW TIME IS 8pm!
For the first time the bell music will sound at Pazaislis music festival. Four carillon music concerts "The Sounding Stories of the Bells," initiated by the Ambassador of the Netherlands to Lithuania Bert Van Der Lingen and sponsored by Kazickas Family Foundation and the Netherlands Embassy in Vilnius, will take place in three major cities across Lithuania.
Famous carillonists Auke de Boer, Bauke Reitsma, Gerda Peters ir Gijsbert Kok from the Netherlands will play at the Pazaislis festival.
Concerts, free to everyone, will take place at:
June 17th, Friday, 8pm - Vilnius, Church of St. Philip and St. Jacob (part of Vilnius Culture Nights)
June 18th, Saturday, 4pm - Kaunas, the Yard of Vytautas Magnus War Museum
July 23rd, Saturday, 7pm - Klaipeda, the Yard of Museum of Clocks
July 24th, Sunday, 4pm - Kaunas, the Yard of Vytautas Magnus War Museum
Carillons we have in Lithuania today were built in the Netherlands and installed by their masters. The Ambassador of the Netherlands to Lithuania had a dream to organize the carillon music concert series during his term in Lithuania.
