Heritage Language Schools Conference

Annual Community Based Heritage Language Schools Conference was moved online this year. Interactive discussions and workshops, promoting collaboration and advocacy among educators, families, and researchers, will be held Friday, October 9, 12:30–6:00 PM and Saturday, October 10, 10:00 AM- 6:00 PM, Eastern time.
Registration is $20.00 and is open until October 8. You can register here.
After the conference opening, there will be an opportunity to interact with leaders of organizations and initiatives that are of interest and can be helpful to heritage language schools.
You can watch videos of their presentations here and submit questions here. They will answer the questions during their online sessions.
There will also be 6 workshops on topics that are of interest to leaders in community-based schools. You will be able to participate in all 6 workshops, if you choose. See the conference program, speakers, and workshop leaders here.

The conference is organized by the Coalition of Community-Based Heritage Language Schools and the American University Institute for Innovation in Education in the School of Education.
The Kazickas Family Foundation is aproud supporter of the 7th annual Community-Based Heritage Language Schools Conference and has been supporting Lithuanian Heritage Schools in the US through Alexandra Kazickas Grant Program since 2012 giving Lithuanian education in the US a boost to develop stronger curriculum, prepare students for Lithuanian language proficiency exam and teach them responsibility to serve as Lithuanian Language Ambassadors.
