Continuing KFF mission to support Lithuanian Heritage schools of the U.S., KFF NYC director participated in the Lithuanian Heritage school of the World Seminar in Lithuania. 37 principals of the schools from around the world, 8 officers from the Ministry of Education and Science of Lithuania and members of Seimas came to the Seminar.
Gaila Narkeviciene and Neila Baumiliene presented the KFF initiative of the A1, A2,B1,B2 tests of the Lithuanian as a Foreign language assessment, which the Ministry is trying to replicate according to the International Foreign Language learning, teaching, testing and certification standards. Hopefully the Ministry will create an official Lithuanian as a Foreign Language certification system for the LT Heritage schools.
