The Sunday 1pm Sacred Music Hour tradition was started by Professor L. Digrys in 1963 in the Cathedral in Vilnius. It later moved to St. Casimir Church, where in 2003, a cycle of summer concerts of organ music began.
They are a part of The Christopher Summer Festival. With a structure of "festivals within a festival", it is the largest and one of the most impressive series of summer music events in Lithuania, that runs 12 Tuesdays July to September. In 2015, the cycle of summer concerts of organ music was renamed to The Kazickas Family Sacred Music Hours. In Vilnius, Jūratė, Michael and John Kazickas met with the Professor L. Digrys and organist R. Marcinkute-Lesieur to discuss the program of the upcoming concerts of the summer 2018. KFF is the main sponsor of the concerts.
