On April 13th, trade school "Sodziaus Meistrai," supported by KFF, invited higher grade students to the open house where every young person got a chance to participate in a creative workshop of his/her choice. Following the workshop, students had an opportunity to visit Trakai museum, where a hall filled with dr. J. Kazickas' hunting trophies is open to the public.
Small group of "Basketball Power" students with their coach Arminas Vareika visited trade school's "Sodziaus Meistrai" creative workshops. Some were making a hamburger, others chocolate rose, floral arrangement, mini table or copper flower. Filled with excitment, participants tasted pies made by students, sipped tea and absorbed all that valuable information. Youth was introduced to realistic opportunities for their future.
Beautiful day wasn't over yet. After visiting "Sodziaus Meistrai", 50 young men and ladies had an opportunity to visit Trakai Castle Museum exhibit (KFF thanks Director of the Museum for discounted tickets). Museum also has a Hunting Hall. The hunting tours of the formerly passionate hunter J. Kazickas stretched from Alaska to Africa and from India to New Zealand. Dr. J. Kazickas donated his valuable trophie collection to Trakai Museum.
Kazickas Family Foundation thanks to Dalia Beigiene, Zydrune Ziliukaite and many more at the "Sodziaus Meistrai" and Brigita Balcytiene, educational programs coordinator and Virgilijus Poviliunas, Director of Trakai Museum for cooperation and engagement in Lithuania's youth development. We're looking forward to future opportunities working together and are excited for a next group of youth from "Basketball Power" and other groups, supported by Kazickas Family Foundation, to get same valuable experience in May!
