KFF thanks Devbridge Group (Chicago, IL) for hosting a meeting in which a possible Devbridge Group's partnership with The Kazickas Family Foundation, Solid Education and Rotary of Lithuanians of Chicagoland was discussed on January 15th.
In a three hour session, three possible paths were chosen.
1. To continue Dr. J. P. Kazickas's legacy to strengthen IT development in Lithuania by adding extra competitions for young software developers, as well as more KTU grants, and by supporting coding programs in the Secondary schools in few chosen regions of Lithuania.
2. To give an opportunity to students of Lithuanian Heritage schools of the US (supported by AKGP) to attend online coding classes and to install a computer class in Chicago Lithuanian school for its students to attend a coding program after school.
3. To introduce profession of a software developer to the participants of Krepšinio Galia / Basketball Power program and give them an opportunity to learn to code online.
As the first step, Devbridge kindly offered to invite Basketball Power program's oldest participants to its offices in Lithuania for a tour, and to look at the possibility to take the most fitted ones to join Devbridge athletes in the extreme run "The Road of the Beaver 2016" in Lithuania.
Devbridge Group is a Chicago-based technology consultancy, founded in 2008, and a strategic partner to industry leaders in manufacturing, financial services and technology.
