The Kazickas Family Foundation welcomed Ashley Gosnell, new ASISST's Director of Development, to discuss the cooperation, latest developments and updates. During the meeting she shared the experience from her recent trip to Lithuania to learn more about ASSIST's work there.
Ashley mentioned that she is very grateful for a wonderful ASSIST program's implementation in Lithuania and would like to use it as an example in order to develop such successful ASSIST programs in few other countries as well.
She also shared success stories of few ASSIST alumni from Lithuania. They are global citizens that have returned the gift given many times over to their country and profession.
7 Lithuanian students (3 of them were sponsored by KFF) came to U.S. this fall where they're studying at the finest independent secondary schools. She gave an update on how students are adapting and integrating into their new environments.
The cooperation for the following year was also discussed. ASSIST Lithuania application process for the 2016/2017 school year already began.
