"Sodziaus Meistrai" trade school in Trakai region, Lithuania, has been Kazockas Family Foundation's grantee for four years.
Trade school was founded 15 years ago for the professional education of homeless/street boys of Vilnius who at the time had been sheltered in remote (and to this day hard to find for safety reasons) farmsteads/foster homes of Trakai region forests to keep them safe from gangs and street life. The boys were called st.John's children after the St.John congregation who cared for them. At the time with a huge financial support from a Frenchman M.Jean Bigot and his supporters in France, and a great team of educators, social workers and monks , - a rare exceptional group of people who did not stigmatize that particular youth , - this beautiful school was founded. It remains the only such school in Lithuania, which opens doors with strict rules, but also with trust, love and respect to every youth, ages 16 and older who oftentimes is misunderstood and rejected by other professional schools and institutions. The school's partner is a prestigious professional school „Les Compagnons du Devoir et de Tour de France“ in France. Success stories are abundant.
On September 1, 2016, school's dormitory will open its doors to 30 students, four students per room. Every room will have a theme based on the country of the school's sponsors.
For the school year 2016-2017 Admission is still open until August 31, please refer to http://sodziausmeistrai.lt/reikalavimai/
