In June, during Kazickas family visit in Lithuania, SolidEducation.lt founder Paulius Paskevicius invited guests to visit his office at the Kaunas Univeristy of Technology to learn about the program and meet few of its youngest members.
During the meeting Lithuania's next generation of coders and technology entrepreneurs was discussed. Few of the youngest program's participants ages 7 to 12 from 22 Lithuania's towns participated at the meeting as well. On Sundays all over Lithuania those children had been already learning coding since the beginning of the first grade. It is usually taught at the fisrt year in college all over the world. Marcie, John, Lucy, John, Alex and Augie Kazickas met with the young coders, discussed with P. Paskevicius why professional coders work with children at SolidEducation.lt. Its founder invited US and Liathuanian diaspora'a children and their parents to try coding lessons on Sundays together with the students in Lithuania. Such lessons already are well established in Chicago and New York.
Accordind to P. Paskevicius, "while creating SolidEducation.lt, we're trying to make it available to the Lithuanians all over the world!"
SolidEducation.lt and Kazickas Family Foundation are planning to start a project, during which they'll attract more girls from all over Lithuania and will make coding available to them. According to SolidEducation.lt founder P. Paskevicius, "today there are still about 2 million coders needed in Europe and the USA."
