Today at 7pm in St. Casimir Church in Vilnius, the closing concert of the Kazickas Family Sacred Music Hours 2016 took place. The concert was in memory of Dr. Joseph and Mrs. Alexandra Kazickas, who would have celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary on August 15th.
Thank you to everyone who organized, played, sang, sponsored and listened! It was a magnificent closing concert of the Kazickas Family Sacred Music hours series under the umbrella of the Christoper Summer 2016 Music Festival!
The organist and festival organizer Renata Marcinkute Lesieur writes: "This year's festival is better than ever. So many people come that we have to find extra chairs, and still so many of them are standing. People are ages 2 months to 92 years...So many elderly ladies come with someone else's assistance, with a help of a cane or crutches [...] So many people come up to me to express gratitude for the festival - many strangers say thank you, ask not to ever stop, say that they will be waiting for concerts of the next year. It warms my soul..."
