The Kazickas Family Foundation's Matching Grant (up to $1,000) program was introduced in 2015 with a goal to motivate Lithuanian heritage schools in the US to organize fund-raising events in order to support their school work. It as a part of the Alexandra Kazickas Grant Program through which KFF has been supporting Lithuanian Heritage Schools in the US since 2012.
School's Principal Irma Harpley shares her gratitude:
"On behalf of Baltic Lithuanian School, its students, parents and administration, I would like to thank you for participating in "Cepelinų balius". A heartfelt thank you to grandmothers Dalia, Dangira, Vida and Danutė. Without their "cepelinai" expertise this event would not have been possible. Our goal was to raise $1,000 so we could take advantage of a generous matching gift offer from Kazickas Family Foundation. With all of your support we have raised $1,640! Because we have achieved and even exceeded our goal - Kazickas Family Foundation will donate another $1,000 to our school. We will use these funds to cover rent expenses for the next year. Once again, thank you so much for your support and have a great summer!"
