During the visit to Lithuania, Kazickas Family Foundation's New York office Director Neila Baumiliene met with the Minister of Social Security and Labour of Lithuania Linas Kukuraitis and Daina Urbonaitiene, Family and Community Department Director.
During the working lunch, KFF work in Lithuania's social field was introduced, Minister was invited to "Basketball Power" (financed by KFF) end of the third season celebration June 10th in Kaunas.
The need for Day centers in the suburbs and their financial struggles were brought up to the Minister's attention, as well as human/children trafficking issues, such as Modern Slavery in Lithuania, absence of witness protection or ability providing safe shelter for the victims. It was agreed to cooperate.
