The effort started in 2013 as part of the Alexandra Kazickas Grant Program to support Lithuanian Heritage schools in the US, and now reached the Lithuanian communities in England, Ireland, France, Sweden, Germany, Norway, Russia. Few months ago, a seminar for Teachers Testers was held in Vilnius, Lithuania, and another one in Boston, MA, USA. The test is conducted in an effort to formalize years of academic learning of the Lithuanian language in Heritage schools across the world, eventually creating the whole system of curriculum, teaching material, tests and certificates. All those who receive the certificates after passing the currently available A1-A2-B1 test, are asked to submit the certificates with the supporting material, to their full time academic institutions for Lithuanian language credits, this way promoting the Test and the Lithuanian language in the World.
