Presidential Valdas Adamkus Library - Museum is opening its doors on April 29th, 2016. Library, with a help from the Kazickas Family Foundation, finished the renovation and is slowly opening its doors to various groups, student conferences, meetings with a plan to open doors wide to general public soon.
Presidential Library's mission - to become innovative cultural and educational source, to improve and teach providing knowledge and pleasure. Museum-library has to tell people's experience and contrbute to building stronger communities. Presidential Library is a valuable source for scientists, students, doing research for their masters and doctoral degrees, Lithuania's youth living abroad to expand their knowledge about Lithuania's history including the diaspora.
V. Adamkus Presidential library plans to open an exposition dedicated not just to V. Adamkus' life, but also to the entire Lithuanian diaspora, history of Lithuania's road to the West and ideas about liberal democracies. Exposition will include the most outstanding Lithuanians from all over the world. It was also mentioned that exposition's story should have special space for Dr. J. Kazickas, a person who gave so much to Lithuania, its culture and business.
