Kaunas University of Technology is inviting school students to participate in information technology and programming contests held in Žemaitija, Aukštaitija, Suvalkija, Dzūkija and Kaunas regions and in the final dr. J. P. Kazickas forum.
Additional IT applications contest is held only for students in 5 - 8 grade.
The winners of the programming contest will earn a spot in Lithuanian National Olympiad in Informatics without further selection.
For the fourth time, an additional fifth competition for Kaunas region students will be held at Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) Engineering Lycee. This lycee is the first educational institution of its kind in Lithuania, where future engineers and inventors of engineering innovations are studying.
The competitions are split into two stages. First, KTU Faculty of Informatics, together with gymnasiums holding the contests in five regions, will coordinate regional competitions (in Dzūkija, Aukštaitija, Suvalkija, Žemaitija and Kaunas. Students from these regions are invited to participate. Participants will compete in information technology and programming.
In March, the final dr. J. Kazickas Forum, which will be open to students from entire Lithuania (as well as Vilnius and Kaunas), will be held. The participants of the forum will be competing in three contests: programming, information technology application, multimedia and created program competition. The elected committee for each contest will select the 1st – 3rd place winners to be awarded by dr. J. Kazickas Family Foundation and sponsors' prizes.

Suvalkija - February 22, 2019 - Šakiai Žiburys Gymnasium;
Žemaitija - February 22, 2019 - Kuršėnai Laurynas Ivinskis Gymnasium;
Aukštaitija - March 1, 2019 - Pasvalys Petras Vileišis Gymnasium;
Dzukija - March 1, 2019 - Druskininkai Rytas Gymnasium;
Kaunas region - March 1, 2019 - Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) Engineering Lycee.
The Forum will be held on March 16, 2019 at Kaunas University of Technology, Faculty of Informatics.
