Registration to Camp Neringa is Open!
02/07/2018

Camp Neringa registration process for the upcoming summer has begun! Registration forms and any other information may be found at http://neringa.org/en_forms.html. Discounts for Children’s Camp campers are available for those who register by April 1st. The deadline for financial aid requests is also April 1st.

The Kazickas Family Foundation is a proud supporter of one of the most amazing camps on this planet - camp Neringa. Hidden in the woods of Vermont, so much resembling a place somewhere in Lithuania, you find cozy cabins, dedicated staff, laughing campers and fun activities from early morning till late at night.

Neringa is a Lithuanian cultural camp founded by the Sisters of the Immaculate Conception in 1969. For over 45 years Neringa has served thousands of children and families in various camp sessions with the mission to foster understanding and love for Lithuanian heritage, teach Christian values in the Roman Catholic tradition, and provide for positive character development.

Every summer children and families have opportunity to spend time together, get in touch with their Lithuanian roots, share experiences and expand their circle of friends during different summer weeks. "Neringa" offers separate time for Lithuanian and English speaking children, families with younger children have opportunity to spend time together as well, youth have a separate week to bond and share, and adults can spend 8 "Art Days" at the end of the summer.

The Kazickas Family Foundation grant was used to help fund the scholarship program. In 2017, Neringa spent almost $17,000 in assisting campers with their tuition fees. This sum was received from various grants and private donations.  The KFF grant of $10,000 was divided and designated between the following campers:

- Twenty-three campers from Lithuanian Speaking Children’s and Youth Camps, ranging in age from 7 – 16 years old, ten of whom were first-time campers.

- Nine campers from Heritage English Speaking Children’s and Youth Camps, ranging in age from 7 – 16 years old.

- One family from Lithuanian Speaking Family Camp.

- In total, the KFF grant helped provide financial assistance to 32 children campers and 1 family.

Entire Neringa Camp team shares their gratitude:

"We are very glad that the Kazickas family is part of our Neringa community. Together we can continue Neringa’s mission of fostering Lithuanian Heritage, Christian values, and personal development. Your generous support is very much appreciated and valued. The whole Neringa community sends you AČIŪ! AČIŪ! AČIŪ!"
