Alumni of a well know Lithuanian choir of boys and young men “Ąžuoliukas”/Little Oak (est, 1959) in 1994, became a men’s choir “Ažuolų klubas”/Oaks Club. It was well appreciated and loved by Dr. J. P. Kazickas.
By an invitation from the Lithuanian Community of Berlin (Germany) the men’s choir, conducted by Prof. P. Gylys, performed in the 100th Anniversary celebration of the Restoration of Independence of Lithuania in the Cultural Center “Spirale” in Berlin on February 17, 2018. While on February 18th, they sang accompanied by the organist Jurate Landsbergyte and flutist Vytautas Oskinis, in Berlin’s Epiphany church.
“Ažuolų klubas” trip to Berlin was in part sponsored by the Kazickas Family Foundation.
