Encouraged by Marty Conlon, Manager of the NBA International Operations in New York, and Morgan O'Brian at the Sports Diplomacy Program/the State Department in Washington DC, KFF invited US Embassy's Public Affairs Officers from Vilnius Rima Vydmantas and Rasa Baukuviene, as well as PAO Minsk - Robin Solomon to share information on Sports Diplomacy.
The PAOs explained the invitation procedure for the Sports Diplomacy envoy and gave a deadline for the KFF grantees and interested organizations to submit an application for the 2015 visit to Ltihuania and Bielorus. After the meeting possible scenarios of the visit program were brainstormed and the Sostines Basketball School Director Andrius Cerskus volunteered to take a lead in communication with Ms. Rasa Baukuviene at the US Embassy.
