On Wednesday, September 25, members of the Kazickas family had the pleasure of meeting with the First Lady of Lithuania Diana Nausediene at the offices of the Kazickas Family Foundation in New York City.
It was a wide-ranging discussion that lasted more than an hour, focusing on the work of the Kazickas Family Foundation in Lithuania and issues of the greatest concern for the country’s progress, especially regarding the future of its young people.
“I found the First Lady warm, gracious and engaged. She seemed quite impressed by the scope of the foundation’s 20 years of philanthropy,” said KFF president Jurate Kazickas.
Ms. Nausediene said that her social duties would take up much of her time these first months of her husband’s presidency but that she was eager to find suitable causes to engage her in charitable work.
“It is my hope we can find a common ground for collaboration. After all, our goals are the same – helping the people of Lithuania live happier and more prosperous lives,” said Jurate.
Also in attendance at the meeting: Joseph, Michael, John and Marcie Kazickas, Peter Kazickas, KFF NY office director Neila Baumiliene, Active General Consul Gitana Skripkaite and Chief Adviser to the President of Lithuania Ieva Ulčickaitė.
