On April 13, 2024, the representatives of the Kazickas Family Foundation – KFF President Jūratė Kazickaitė-Altman with her husband Roger, KFF Board of Directors member Jonas Kazickas with his wife Marcie, and KFF Executive Director of the New York office Neila Baumilienė – visited the Lithuanian Foundation headquarters.
They met with the Chairman of the LF Board of Directors Tauras Bublys, LF President Audronė Pavilčius-Karalius, President of the LF Grants Commission Juozas Kapačinskas, and LF Executive Director Jūratė Mereckis.
Representatives from both foundations shared their professional experiences and discussed their plans for the future. Lithuanian Foundation officers provided details about their activity and shared warm remembrances about dr. Joseph Kazickas, who made a huge contribution to LF.
Starting in 1964, J. Kazickas held the responsibility of member of the LF Board of Directors for 13 years. In 1969, he became the Chairman of the Lithuanian Foundation Fundraising Committee in New York. Thanks to their combined fundraising efforts, a sizeable amount of money was raised to increase LF capital. J. Kazickas‘ generosity extended into his personal life. He and his wife Aleksandra donated $21,400.
