On October 13-14, the social hackathon SMARTUOLIAI took place in Vilnius, aiming to promote emotional intelligence development among Lithuanian children and youth.
The hackathon gathered 19 teams from 14 different towns and small villages of Lithuania - 15 groups of high school students, including the "Youth Can" team, two teams of Ukrainians currently living in Lithuania, 4 teams of non-governmental organizations, and one start-up, with a total of almost 100 participants. In addition, the participants were supported by over 20 mentors and lecturers and 8 jury members representing businesses, NGOs, and the public sector.
The Kazickas Family Foundation supports the Social Hackathon, which aims to bring together young people, NGOs, businesses, teachers, social start-ups, and the public sector to address the challenges of developing emotional intelligence.
The organizers and partners of the Hackathon – Eika, the Kazickas Family Foundation, ACME Grupė, JUNG Vilnius, Civinity, Katalista Ventures - have chosen six teams to further collaborate. The aim of the collaboration is to ensure that the proposed ideas see the light of day and contribute to the development of emotional intelligence in Lithuania.
