Where Are They Now... Adrijus' Story
12/16/2015

Adrijus Beniusis, the recipient of a prosthetic leg, walked the runway in a fashion show in Palanga, Lithuania "Jievaro tiltu 2015." Adrijus lost his leg to bone cancer in 2014. With a help from Prosthetics in Motion, Wiggle Your Toes, Ottobock, KFF and love and care of Marcie and John Kazickas he received his new prosthetic leg in May 2015.

Just short seven months ago Adrijus took his first steps in front of Chris Kort and his caring, professional team at Prosthetics in Motion. It's hard to believe that today he is strutting the runway with his custom fitted C-leg 3 knee prosthetic.

On December 4th, the old Palanga high school opened its doors to an alternative fashion show "Jievaro Tiltu 2015." This event is dedicated to Lithuanian heritage. Daiva Stonkuviene, art and design teacher, organized the event. Twenty five young artists and designers with their own collections represented different towns of Lithuania at the two and a half hours lasting colorful event. Among them, 5 appearances of hosting Palanga old high school students: freshmen Paula Radaviciute and Daniele Senavaityte with their collection "Makrame"; juniors Teodora Zvilaityte, Gabriele Kalniute, Tadas Kalvis with their collection "Keturios"; seniors: Simona Volungeviciute with her collection "Black White" and Natalija Grigorjeva with a collection "Crow."

Many others, such as Remigijus Petravičius ir Mindaugas Ratautas - Lighting, Lukas Paulauskas - Music Design, Matas Eimanavicius, Matas Veselis, Saulius Aluzas ir Valdas Verseckas - Scenography, Ugnius Katkus - Video, Adomas Armonas - Saxophone, contributed to the event.
