The Baltic Studies Program and the European Studies Council at Yale present three talks by two Baltic Studies Fellows, Inta Mierina and KFF grantee Violeta Davoliute, and by Latvian political scientist, Daunis Auers.
April 5th - Daunis Auers, an Associate Professor of Comparative Politics, University of Latvia will present “European, Post-Soviet or Baltic? Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania in the Twenty-First Century."
April 12th - Inta Mierina, Spring 2016 Juris Padegs Research Fellow in Baltic Studies, Yale University; Senior Researcher, Institute of Philosophy and Sociology, University of Latvia will discuss “Integration Context and Outcomes of Migrant Integration: Experiences of Latvian Migrants.”
April 19th - Violeta Davoliute, 2015-2016 Joseph P. Kazickas Associate Research Scholar, Yale University; Senior Researcher in the Faculty of History, Vilnius University and Lithuanian Cultural Research Institute will present “The Culture of Collaboration: Lithuanian Intellectuals under German Occupation (1941-1944).” She will discuss the challenges facing Lithuanian intellectuals while Lithuania was under German occupation during World War II--how they coped, or in cases of collaboration, failed to do so.
