Evening host Ms. Jūratė Kazickaitė, President of Kazickas Family Foundation, shared a special memory about her father: "He understood that culture was so important to a country’s international standing and reputation. So it was inevitable that he cared deeply about the culture of his homeland, and he knew that talents had to be nurtured from the earliest age." To this day Kazickas Family Foundation continues supporting arts and culture, as well as education, social welfare, technology, and medicine.
Representatives of Lithuanian Government, members of diplomatic corps, politicians, leaders of cultural and non governmental organizations gathered to pay their respects and share the memories of an exceptional person - Joseph P. Kazickas. It was a remarkable night to all those in attendance, but it was especially memorable to the young performers, whose faces shone with sincere excitement.
