Alexandra Kazickas Lithuanian School graduate Justas Klimavicius is certainly soaring high and making us all proud. After graduating from Stony Brook University this spring, he jumped right into a new challenge joining a Journey of Hope 2019 team. Over the course of two months Justas together with one-hundred other students and alumni from around the country is cycling from the west coast to Washington, DC, raising awareness of disabilities while spreading the Mission, Vision, and Values of The Ability Experience.

Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) students with excellent academic records who are taking part in volunteering or charity activities were awarded incentive scholarships established by the Kazickas Family Foundation.

During her visit to Lithuania in June, Lucy Kazickas visited Blessed Michael Sopocko Hospice. Sister Michaela Rak showed her around, introduced her to a wonderful team, shared hospice's work, plans and thanked the Kazickas family for its continuos care and support.

On June 13^th, 2019 Panevezys Vytautas Zemkalnis High School held an award in memory of Alexandra Kalvenaite – Kazickas  (1920-2011) ceremony and school’s summer picnic.

KFF program "Youth Can" providing life skills and healthy life style lessons through sports and educational field trips to youth in Lithuania's remote areas, ended its 2018-2019 season with an energetic event in Kedainiai.

The US-LT Alumni Association along with the Embassy is seeking applications from participants of all U.S. Embassy organized exchange programs to join a yearlong fellowship program. Application deadline - June 30, 2019.

USC Shoah Foundation Institute for Visual History and Education was founded in 1994, a nonprofit organization established to record testimonies in video format of survivors and other witnesses of the Shoah (Holocaust) of World War II. The Kazickas Family Foundation committed to help index 49 recorded testimonies in Lithuanian, to create most suitable programming for the region and to present the tools to the teachers community.

Today, June 18th, the President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaite met with young Lithuanians from all around the globe who came to Lithuania with "Bring Together Lithuania" program and will have internships this summer here. Opportunities for young people in Lithuania, patriotism, preservation of Lithuanian identity abroad were discussed during the meeting.

Today, June 17th, Alexandra Kazickas would have celebrated her 99th birthday. On this special day, her dear daughter Jurate Kazickas shares kind words about her Mamyte and her father's letter written 30 years ago.

On June 13th, an award in memory of Alexandra Kelavenaite-Kazickas and her dear teacher linguist Petras Butenas was presented to dr. Bronius Dobrovolskis, an educator, Lithuanian language teaching specialist and textbook author.
