Social responsibility Basketball Power program, funded by the Kazickas Family Foundation, works in Juvenile Detention Centers of Lithuania.
Kazickas Family members and "Basketball Power" members had a tour of the Presidential palace where they saw the various gifts given to Lithuania from global leaders followed by a great meeting with President Dalia Grybauskaite’s representatives where they discussed the "Basketball Power" program’s work throughout the country teaching life skills through basketball to over 200 youth.
On Saturday, January 28th the Kazickas Family hosted a seminar for Basketball Power coaches, where they had team building sessions, learned from psychologists about how to communicate with youth regarding various issues, and spent time engaging with their head coach.
The Kazickas Family Foundation has begun supporting a recent initiative to bring medical doctors from Kaunas and Vilnius to Cincinnati for various training exercises. The first group of these doctors will be leaving for the States in a few weeks time.
The Kazickas Family Foundation has been supporting ASSIST (American Secondary Schools for International Students and Teachers) efforts in Lithuania for several years now, providing scholarships for three Lithuanian youths to attend one year of high school in the US.

Basketball club "Somewhere Seen" enthusiastically joined "Basketball Power" work. Monday, January 30th, they visited Lentvaris day center's youth to shoot some hoops together. "Somewhere Seen" Haris Zenkovas shares his thoughts of the evening while promising to come back soon.
The Lithuanian Basketball Federation invited the Kazickas family members for a visit to its headquarters in Kaunas. The meeting was held regarding future collaboration and mutual projects on Lithuania's Basketball history and basketball social responsibility.
Coach Arminas’ practice at the “Basketball Power” program, was visited by program's initiator Peter Kazickas, his sister Annalina Kazickas, KFF New York office director Neila Baumiliene and a team of “Kazkur Matyti" (Somewhere Seen) who are becoming a part of the program.
On January 31st Vilnius Mayor Remigijus Šimašius hosted a meeting with the Kazickas Family members regarding the Foundation's work in Lithuania, and Vilnius in particular. Special attention was given to social issues, especially those of the youth and children in the outskirts of the society.
