I know that during these dismal, depressing and frightening days of quarantines, isolation, and sheltering in place we tend to focus on our own scary plight. It is no fun being stuck in the house, watching terrifying news as this “invisible enemy” rampages throughout the country and the world.
During the days when everyone around the globe is facing the challenge to find a new „normal“ in their daily lives, doctors and nurses have emerged as the new soldiers, amid growing cases of coronavirus across the world. They put their lives at risk, work non-stop around the clock and ask us just a few simple things to help overcome this challenge together.
Last week the Kazickas Family Foundation brought self-presentation training to Panevezys Vytautas Zemkalnis High School students and teachers. Such skill is necessary when reaching for academic and career success.
Last Tuesday, the upcoming 30th anniversary of the Restoration of the Independence of Lithuania was marked with a concert “The Children of Freedom Celebrate”, joined by President Gitanas Nauseda and First Lady Diana Nausediene. "Youth Can" students from Kamajai and Pandelys together with their coaches, 'Youth Can" and KFF teams had a rare opportunity to participate in a special event.

On March 14, 2020 Kaunas University of Technology Faculty of Informatics will host Dr. J. P. Kazickas Computer Science Forum for school students where the most talented boys and girls will compete in programming, IT applications, multi media and program development.
The Kazickas Family Foundation and its program “Youth Can” are glad to have been able to use its network of friends and partners to help one special young man in need.
According to the Ministry of Health of Lithuania, starting on March 1, 2020, syringe infusion pumps will be available free of charge for the palliative care cancer patients. They will be compensated by the National Health Insurance Fund. It is wonderful news for the patients and their families going through hard times.
